Good Morning! The final fantasy football injury report of Week 11 consists of 19 players, their replacements and how to view each situation from a fantasy perspective. Many of these players were previously mentioned this week in some capacity for missing a single practice. However there are some who appear here who simply never accomplished the feat of going 100% at any point during the week. Those players tend to be game time decisions at worst, but are worth monitoring in case of a setback.
QBs: Kyler Murray, Jared Goff
RBs: Alvin Kamara, James Robinson, Elijah Mitchell, Jamaal Williams, Latavius Murray, Jeremy McNichols, JaMycal Hasty, Jermar Jefferson
WRs: Amari Cooper, Marquise Brown, Allen Robinson, Allen Lazard, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Curtis Samuel, Devin Duvernay
TEs: Geoff Swaim, Ricky Seals-Jones
Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray (QB) - There are two ways to look at the Kyler Murray situation from the outside to determine if he plays Sunday or not. One camp will say that it’s a division game and the Cards could use the win to stay ahead of the Rams. Another camp can also say the bye week is coming up and if the team gives Kyler this game off going into the bye and allow him to heal, he is likely to be 100% in Week 13. I prefer the second option to be honest given their slot in the standings at the moment and how good the team can be for the remainder if he is 100%. Either way, he didn’t get a full practice in this week and will be a game time decision on Sunday. Colt McCoy is the backup and will play if Murray cannot. McCoy was injured last week in their blowout loss to the Panthers and has gone 33/46, totaling 378 yards in his two starts.
Baltimore Ravens: Marquise Brown (WR)/Latavius Murray (RB)/Devin Duvernay (WR) - This trio of players are all questionable heading into Sunday’s game against the Bears. Murray is the most likely to play given that he did practice all week at the same pace and the squad felt comfortable cutting Le’Veon Bell a couple of days ago. If there is a setback, Devonta Freeman and Ty’Son Williams will split the load. Freeman has averaged over five yards a carry on his opportunities this season. In the case of Brown and Duvernay I do have some worry. Duvernay appeared on the injury report on Friday, indicating an injury in practice or a setback. Brown finally just hit the field on Friday in the first place. If either cannot play, Rashod Bateman and Sammy Watkins will be the guys on the outside with James Proche in the slot. Bateman seems legit as a wide out, bringing in 18 of 28 targets to start his career.
Chicago Bears: Allen Robinson (WR) - The wideout was never able to get onto the practice field coming out of the bye. He’s not listed as “out” for the game but he might as well be. Darnell Mooney and Marquise Goodwin will be starting along with Damiere Byrd against the Ravens. Personally, I have no faith in this WR corps as a valid fantasy option at this time, despite Mooney doing things for the team all season long. It’s a real wildcard.
Cleveland Browns: Donovan Peoples-Jones (WR) - The big play wide out was injured last week and finally got back onto the practice field on Friday. I’m leaning towards a game time decision at best this week for him if he only practiced once this week. What is working in his favor is the “out” status for rookie Anthony Schwartz. The team simply doesn’t have depth at the position after cutting OBJ. If DPJ can’t start opposite Jarvis Landry, then Rashard Higgins will have to play with Jamarcus Bradley as WR3. Do not be surprised if Demetric Felton gets some looks at the position. Felton is an RB/WR gadget player who has been utilized in the slot this season at times.
Dallas Cowboys: Amari Cooper (WR) - The star wideout was placed into COVID protocol on Friday, thus ruling him out for not only this week but the Thanksgiving game in Week 12 as well. This will force the Cowboys to go with Ceedee Lamb and Michael Gallup on the outside this week. There could be worse things, Gallup returning should be able to fill some of the void left by Amari’s status. Gallup has seven receptions in two games this season on 12 targets, coming off of two 60 reception seasons.
Detroit Lions: Jared Goff (QB)/Jamaal Williams (RB)/Jermar Jefferson (RB) - Normally I do not list the depth players on the injury report because they lack fantasy value. In this case I would argue Jefferson does. If Williams cannot play on Sunday after being limited all week in practice, Jermar would have been the guy to backup D’Andre Swift. But Jefferson himself is out with an ankle injury of his own, making Godwin Igwebuike as the backup. Godwin has 114 total yards on eight touches this season, and a touchdown. Getting back to Goff, the first player listed. He is likely not going to play this week with an oblique injury. This gives way to Tim Boyle, a career backup, to make his NFL debut.
Green Bay Packers: Allen Lazard (WR) - The stalwart on the outside, Lazard did not get on the practice field once this past week with a shoulder injury. The team hasn’t ruled him out yet, but he’s out as far as I’m concerned. Randall Cobb and Marquez Valdes-Scantling will be the guys getting the ball after Davante Adams this week. MVS is a big play threat, averaging 20 yards a reception since his return whereas Cobb is a short yardage/first down guy.
Jacksonville Jaguars: James Robinson (RB) - Following a similar lead up as last week to game time, I expect Robinson to play in Week 11 despite not practicing in full at any capacity. He was solid in his action, totaling 84 yards on 16 touches. Barring a setback, he should be good. If there is one, Carlos Hyde will be the guy to get the ball. Hyde has not been very efficient with his looks this season and thus caused the team to get creative with Jamal Agnew last week on multiple occasions.
New Orleans Saints: Alvin Kamara (RB) - The star running back only practiced once this week and clearly it caused a setback that resulted in his out status this week. Mark Ingram will play as the starter with Dwayne Washington spelling him from time to time. Ingram has been solid both as a rusher and pass catcher since his return to the Saints. He’s totaled 224 yards on 40 touches, putting him on pace for over 1250 total yards on a 17-game slate.
San Francisco 49ers: Elijah Mitchell (RB)/JaMycal Hasty (RB) - With both backs likely out this week against the Jaguars, the team will have to utilize Jeff Wilson and Trey Sermon as their options out of the backfield. Mitchell seemed to almost get there but his broken finger simply isn’t at a place where he can reliably carry the ball. Wilson was a sneaky great standard back last season, scoring at will and being efficient with his touches. I anticipate a similar outcome this week. Sermon has struggled at times with the ball in his hands in his rookie season, but has averaged 4.4 yards a carry.
Tennessee Titans: Jeremy McNichols (RB)/Geoff Swaim (TE) - Both players listed here are parts of a committee approach to their respective position groups in the offense. McNichols is the pass catching back amongst those trying to fill in for Derrick Henry. D’onta Foreman and Adrian Peterson will have to figure out a way to create short yardage third down situations so they are not relied upon out of the backfield. Swaim on the other hand is one of three tight ends that seem to alternate in fantasy value. MyCole Pruitt tends to have a nose for the endzone this season, whereas Firkser gets more targets. It’s all a mixed bag at that position with this club.
Washington Football Team: Curtis Samuel (WR)/Ricky Seals-Jones (TE) - In a surprise chain of events, Samuel may play this week against the Panthers. He returned to practice on Friday, albeit limited, and the coaching staff acknowledges that they will put him on a pitch count. To even consider a pitch count is an indication he may play. He’s a gadget player that relies on speed, which is worrisome given his injury status. Seals-Jones is TE2 behind Logan Thomas, and he was ruled out for Sunday. This will give John Bates his first career start. The rookie tight end has five receptions.
