Good Morning! Normally I do not post a fantasy football injury report on a Sunday, but this week is a special case given there are four games being played after today. Today’s report covers 8 players, the teams situation and the fantasy impact of the player who will see an increase in snaps.
RBs: Jamaal Williams, JD McKissic
WRs: Nelson Agholor, Sammy Watkins, Marquise Goodwin, Curtis Samuel, Breshad Perriman
TE: Tyler Higbee
Baltimore Ravens: Sammy Watkins (WR) - The wideout was ruled out for today’s game against the Packers with COVID. Marquise Brown is being anticipated as a guy to play however. This makes it him, Rashod Bateman and Devin Duvernay as the top three WRs going into the game. Duvernay is an underneath option who is on a 35/350 pace this season.
Chicago Bears: Marquise Goodwin (WR) - The speedy wide receiver was all but ruled out yesterday for Monday’s game against the Vikings. He’s dealing with a foot injury and that takes away a lot of his game. Jakeem Grant replaced him in the lineup the last two weeks and has taken advantage of it. He’s put up eight receptions and 138 total yards over the last three games.
Detroit Lions: Jamaal Williams (RB) - The Lions are going to be down their top two backs once more this week against the Cardinals. Williams is still testing positive for COVID and could not come off the protocol list. Craig Reynolds and Godwin Igwebuike split the carries last week with Reynolds taking the bulk of them. He averaged 7.5 yards per carry with 99 total yards.
Los Angeles Rams: Tyler Higbee (TE) - The starting tight end is currently on the COVID list for the second weekend in a row, despite being activated off of the list on Tuesday. This should free up Kendall Blanton as the starter against the Seahawks on Tuesday. He has made three receptions over the last two weeks on his five targets, totaling 35 yards.
New England Patriots: Nelson Agholor (WR) - The only fantasy relevant injury from last night, Agholor suffered a concussion and left the contest. Nelson had been targeted six times by that moment, bringing in four balls for 34 yards. N’keal Harry was propelled into the WR3 role as a result. Harry made two receptions on five targets, mainly utilized down the field.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Breshad Perriman (WR) - The former high pick has been utilized seldom this season by the Buc’s, coming in for a few snaps here or there. His placement on the COVID list yesterday will create more snaps for Tyler Johnson as WR3. Johnson is on pace for 35/350 this season.
Washington Football Team: JD McKissic (RB)/Curtis Samuel (WR) - Neither player practiced yesterday for Washington as they prepare for Tuesday’s game against the Eagles. McKissic is still dealing with a concussion and he’s all but ruled out in my opinion. Samuel’s situation is concerning as his hamstring is the problem now, an additional injury to his list. Jaret Patterson will be the RB2 behind Gibson for this tilt and has been used as a rusher predominantly. Patterson has averaged 3.6 ypc this season. DeAndre Carter and Adam Humphries will take advantage of the extra snaps opposite Terry McLaurin. Humphries is on pace for 45/450 this season as a possession option to get first downs.
